In the Press: A First for Neurodiverse Holidays in the UK

We’re incredibly proud to see our work featured in national press, highlighting a major milestone for inclusive travel in the UK.

Recently, it was announced that the UK’s first purpose-built holiday home designed specifically for neurodivergent guests has been created—something we have been passionately working towards at My Safe Place Southern.

Developed in collaboration with industry partners, this holiday home has been thoughtfully designed to support individuals with autism, ADHD and other neurodiverse needs, with features that reduce sensory overwhelm and create a calmer, more predictable environment.

This project was born from real-life experiences. Too many families have told us that holidays can feel stressful, overwhelming or even impossible. Our mission has always been to change that—creating spaces where families can truly relax, connect and enjoy time together.

With around one in five people in the UK being neurodivergent, the need for more inclusive holiday accommodation has never been clearer.

This is just the beginning.

Alongside new purpose-built homes, we are also working on ways to adapt existing holiday homes and support park teams through training—helping to create a more understanding and accessible industry as a whole.

We’re proud to be leading this movement, and even more excited for what comes next.
