Welcome to My Safe Place Southern Ltd
At My Safe Place Southern Ltd, we specialise in the design, construction, and consultation of bespoke sensory rooms and suitable holiday accommodations for neurodivergent families with specific sensory needs. Our mission is simple: to create safe, comfortable, and functional spaces that truly support well-being.
A Natural Progression
Our journey began from a deeply personal place. After many years of caring for family members with autism and dementia, we gained invaluable insight into the daily challenges faced by neurodiverse individuals and their families.
We saw firsthand how isolating it can be when there’s nowhere truly suitable to go with no spaces designed to regulate sensory overload, and no holiday accommodations that felt safe or appropriate. This experience inspired us to act and create meaningful change.
Because we care
Our work is driven by lived experience and deep empathy. We understand the importance of having a Safe Place with somewhere to regulate, recharge, and feel secure.
Whether you're a family in need of a home sensory room or a business looking to become more inclusive, we’re here to help. We will always listen carefully, work with patience, and treat every client with professionalism and respect.
Clare Rochford – Diverse Abilities
Families raising children with additional needs often miss out on the simple joys others take for granted, like a family holiday. If holiday parks were designed with neurodiverse families in mind — with sensory-friendly spaces, accommodation that has considered a child with neurodiversity, and staff who are not just accepting but understand ways in which they can support families would truly make a difference — it would transform lives. It would mean inclusion, dignity, and the opportunity to have a real break as a family. It is not just thinking about the child with the additional needs but the whole family unit, siblings will get to experience a holiday that they may otherwise not get.
Nicole Bateman, mum of two, late diagnosed ADHDer
For neurodivergent families like mine, a holiday can take more pre-planning and energy than everyday life. Having a safe space and staff who understand means we can relax, join in, and enjoy time together across generations and that’s what makes it feel like a real holiday.
